Please help with Directions
I honestly cant believe this is happening, but as there has been more than a 2 year hiatus, and I have searched all over these forums and can't find the answer, I've decided to beg for help.....please
Trying to get to the Temple of Ages. I get as far as the Reed Stalkers and simply cannot remember which direction to go from there. I want to remember the door being very very close, but either it forgot to load in this past session, I am blind, they have moved it, or I forgot where it was to begin with. Anyone available for directions - I would be very appreciative. |

It'd help to know where you were leaving from.
Or, you could just look at this map. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Image:Kryta_Label.jpg |

Thanks.
I left from the Black Curtain, but that shouldn't have mattered since I got to the ring where the Reed Stalkers were. Ok, to be even more specific... Left from the Black Curtain Went over the first bridge and turned left. Worked our way through all the various poisoned lakes and arrived at the Arches where the reed stalkers hang and the road splits into 2 one goes left and you run into Forest Minos The other goes right and you go over a bridge and run into Skale Blighters :-) And the map is really what I wanted. Incredibly, I searched all of GW Guru and didn't find a thing and I looked around on Wiki, but not nearly as in depth as guru. Thanks for the assist!! |

Oh, and one more thing. That map looks like the original map that indicates the ToA is North of the Black Curtain, as in you don't even have to enter The Black Curtain. I do remember quite clearly that the original map was incorrect in this respect.
So, if someone would like to actually give directions, that would be better. |

The Temple of the Ages is along the northern edge of the Black Curtian.
Head west from Bergen Hot Springs to the Cursed Lands. Head north through the Cursed Lands to the Black Curtian. Hug the northern Edge of the Black Curtian, you'll come to a bone dragon group. Keep going. Shortly, you'll see a reed stalker group around a shrine thingie on your left, and a portal on your right - the portal is ToA. |

Thank you everyone, I'm sure that I will find it with this information.
The frustrating thing is that nothing specifically takes you there and its out of the way for anything else. Imnotyourmother - That's another thing I need to find out about - Titles - those are new to me and I'm not quite certain what that's all about just yet. |

Explains titles and has lists of all the titles and how to get them. You don't really need titles, it's just for people who want a little something extra.

This quest will eventually give you a pointer to the ToA outpost. I always find the zone into ToA north of the circle of Reed Stalkers. EDIT - Oops, sorry. I didn't realize that quest's writeup wasn't clear. Rather than answer by PM, I'll post here where anyone else can see if they need it, too. The Lost Princess is basically a followup quest to The Royal Papers. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/The_Royal_Papers Both quests start from the outpost, Fisherman's Haven. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Fishermen%27s_Haven Last edited by LicensedLuny; Oct 06, 2008 at 11:39 PM // 23:39.. |

Yes but what takes you TO Fisherman's haven? You pretty much have to know it's there.

Fisherman's is easy to find if you look it up on a map. It's very distinctive geographically and nowhere near as difficult to get to as TOA. Besides, the quests there give you free skill, so I recommend all prophecies characters do those quests before paying money for skills.

How about asking for help here and getting references to wiki pages with maps?
EDIT - as a side note, Imahandful and I met up in game after my reply above. We went to ToA (problem had been they were going to the southern circle of reed stalkers, not the northern one.) We kicked Galrath's butt. Then, for kicks, we went and kicked Rotscale's butt until Ima had a shiny new green bow. Was very fun! Tyria rules! Well there are Lots of titles and some GREAT Guides. Even here on the guru. You also found the best place for helpful people. I have 1 title maxed after over a year playing so titles are not that important - yet - HoM might change that with GW2 but that is a whole nother ball of wax.
So as you can see I might not be the best person to ask about all titles but I do know a thing or two about 2 different titles. They are - Legendary Survivor and Legendary Defender of Ascalon. I have a LS War and have helped several people farm the title. I was the first to post about killing SNOW WURMS. I found them running by them with my monk one day and though..humm they do not move nor do they attack my monk. Turns out they are Meele only meaning that you have to stand very close to them for them to kill you. So I got hardmode on my monk and made a war so that I could smash away on them in hardmode. I got 594 Xp solo in Hard mode and there are 10 that you can kill. So as you can see in just 15 hours you can have LS and have 0 chance to die. If your health gets to 40 just backup, heal and kill some more. easy peasy. Well that is all I know but I am sure that others will help you. |

imnotyourmother,
Are you talking about the snow wurms outside of Boreal Station? There are 13 of them (not 10) and they always come up in the same place, are melee only, as you said, and fairly easy to kill. Fighting them solo (no hero/hench) yields 1300 xp per run (1950 xp or 2275 xp with the appropriate scrolls) in standard mode. It takes about 4 to 5 minutes to kill them all if you time things right (at least with my Ritualist) and I average 500g worth of drops, which pays for the 175% scroll for each run if you want to do it the fastest way. Also good for treasure and wisdom titles as they drop lockpicks fairly often and there are usually 1 or 2 chests in that section. The drops are mostly scythes, spears and swords, but I quite often get decent blues, purples and golds there. I don't usually use any scrolls as I'm in no hurry and can use the gold for other things. Also, you CAN die from wurm attacks, even though they are melee only. How? If you get a disconnection while running from wurm to wurm, your character could end up getting killed before you can get reconnected. Hasn't happened to me, but I know one person that had that happen when they were just running someone up to the Eye. But much safer than boxing, IMO (lag or disconnect would only hurt if you were moving and got unlucky, compared to boxing where it is usually fatal), and great if you have to stop in the middle to go do something in real life. After having my survivors die from lag spikes (June was not a good month for me, heh), degen deaths while the monks stood around and watched me die, and similar nonsense, I just decided snow wurm farming was the easiest way to get the title as I wasn't going to constantly restart the character each time something weird like that happened. |
